Overview
This masjid, madrasa and commercial complex in Islamabad is a three-storey building on 3.2 kanal with capacity for more than 2,500 worshippers. R & K Enterprises is delivering the structure, centralised heating and cooling, a 30 KVA solar system, CCTV and a 4K digital sound system, together with a jali minaret, carved doors and calligraphy.
The complex combines a congregational mosque, a madrasa and a commercial structure whose income supports the institution.
Beyond the structure, the brief demanded services that most mosques add later, if at all: centralised heating and cooling, a 30 KVA solar system, CCTV and a digital sound system for Azan and Jumu'ah.
The craft work is what visitors notice first: a minaret faced with CNC jali panels, full-height jali screens on the facade, carved wooden entrance doors, a calligraphy band around the dome gallery and carved Asma-ul-Husna panels in the prayer hall.
