Overview
The G-11 mosque and madrasa in Islamabad was built by R & K Enterprises on a 3 kanal plot. It includes a madrasa, a complete basement, and prayer halls on the ground and first floors, with capacity for approximately 2,000 worshippers. Finishes include CNC jali entrance screens and glazed hall partitions.
The brief was a neighbourhood mosque large enough for Jumu'ah crowds, with a madrasa on the same site.
We built a full basement and two prayer floors, with column spacing that keeps sight lines open to the mihrab, glazed partitions between halls, and CNC jali screens at the entrances.
